Hello All- Another examiner asked me to QC an examination and he needs the response in a relatively timely manner. I tried to open the examination and received an error warning that the charts were not in the file. I contacted Limestone and spoke with Alex, who told me the software in not backwards compatible.Alex told me he would send me a link to the software and I did not receive one. When I called back, he gave me an excuse that he had to "put together" a special viewing software so I could look at the data and it would take several hours. I asked first if I could just have a copy of a software version to allow me to view the charts. Alex told me he was not allowed to give it out. I asked if Jamie was there and was told yes, I asked to speak to Jamie and was placed on hold. Alex returned and apologized for the great length of time I was on hold and then told me he could not find Jamie. Does anyone know where I may get a link to a viewer or software that is compatible with a recently completed test so I may help this fellow examiner. Mark Handler IP: Logged |

Calm down Maddog... you sound a little angry. We're preparing a ChartViewer for Version 3.0 and I've asked our programmers to expedite this for you since you're in such a hurry. Please appreciate why Alex may be cautious when addressing your inquiry. You’re not a client and your part-time employer, Lafayette, employs a third party software company that openly advertises reverse engineering. Could this include the intellectual property of a competitor? http://www.caesarcreeksoftware.com/ We’re working on your request, right here at Limestone, and in the meantime ask the examiner to print the charts to PDF. Save a tree! Cheers, JB

Oh I am angry, let's make no bones about that. I spent half of last year teaching from your software in Iraq and I didn't give it to anyone, allow anyone to pirate it, or sell it on eBay.Alex gave me the obvious run-around, especially when I asked to speak with you. I have a sneaky suspicion you were sitting right there. It is odd to me that you have to make a "special" viewing software at little old my request. Why didn't he just send me the viewing software that you would send anyone else? IP: Logged |

[*** Selfish desire for software improvement alert ***]As an aside, I hate looking at charts printed to PDF. If they could print continuously (in all the polygraph software, just like they look within the software or viewer), that would make life easier - a lot easier. IP: Logged |

That’s great detective work Maddog but your suspicions are unfounded.I was on the phone with School Director, Richard Poe, when you asked to be connected. I was conducting business here at Limestone. It’s a full time job for me and I’m sorry you had to wait to speak to me directly. If you’re still suspicions follow up with Richard Poe and he will confirm. As you know, we’re working on your request, and we’ll be in touch when this is ready. Respectfully, JB

With Axciton, you can download the latest software on line, also with Stoelting you can do the same with a password. Have not tried Lafeyette for software yet. Guess Limestone is more secretive. IP: Logged | |
